 Laxmii is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film written and directed by Raghava Lawrence in his Hindi directorial debut. It is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Kanchana and stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.^[2] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film will not be released theatrically in India and will stream digitally on Disney+Hotstar on 9 November 2020.^[1]

The film, a remake of Kanchana, was announced in the second half of January 2019 by the director of its original version i.e. Raghava Lawrence with Akshay Kumar in lead role.^[9]Principal photography began on 22 April 2019 with the shoot of song "Bismillah".In January 2020, the the starcast filmed song "Burj Khalifa" in Dubai.^[10] The filming was wrapped up on 1 March 2020.^[11]
